Week-long programme focuses on leadership, doctrine, and student engagement

The Apostolic Church Theological Seminary has officially commenced its Students’ Representative Council (SRC) Week celebration, bringing together students, faculty, and invited guests for a series of activities aimed at strengthening unity and leadership within the institution.

The week-long programme, organised by the SRC, is designed to promote student engagement while reinforcing the core values and mission of Apostolic ministry.

This year’s celebration, which began in April 2026, is being held under the theme: “Fulfilling Our Apostolic Mandate: The Role of Seminary Education.”

Addressing participants at the opening ceremony, SRC President Cosmos Kontor emphasized the importance of the week’s activities. He urged students to remain steadfast in Apostolic doctrine and to take their formation seriously as future ministers.

Also speaking at the event, Kumasi South Area Superintendent Apostle Joseph Atiogbe underscored the vital role of theological education in preparing students for effective ministry. He encouraged students to fully embrace their training as a foundation for fulfilling their divine calling.

Assistant Rector Apostle Samuel Abeka further challenged students to reflect on their purpose for enrolling in the seminary. He noted that beyond celebration, the week should serve as a moment of personal and spiritual reflection

As part of the celebrations, students participated in inter-level football matches held at Bantama Astroturf. However, the trip to the venue was nearly disrupted due to a faulty vehicle.

The incident prompted students to appeal to the seminary’s leadership to consider acquiring a dedicated bus to facilitate transportation for academic and extracurricular activities.

The SRC Week celebration at ACTS is expected to continue with various spiritual, academic, and social activities throughout the week. The programme not only fosters unity among students but also reinforces the institution’s commitment to training leaders who are grounded in Apostolic doctrine and equipped for impactful ministry.
